It's that time of year when the balls are bouncing on the gym floor and crowds are gathered to cheer on their favorite team. Yes it's time for basketball. We signed Mason up to play on a basketball league sponsored by the local YMCA. He is having a blast! His first day he learned about dribbling, passing and shooting. He has had 2 games so far and just between those 2 games we saw a huge difference in his playing ability. The first game he was more concerned with guarding and learning the ropes. By the 2nd game he was concentrating on getting the ball more, shooting, and dribbling.
One of the great things about YMCA basketball is that they don't keep score so it doesn't matter who wins or loses, just that they have fun and learn how to play as part of a team and with great sportsmanship. He has 4 more games left this season. It should be a lot of fun both for him and for us!
