Maiya turned 4 months at the beginning of June. We can't believe she's been with us that long already and yet we can't remember a lot of what life was like without her. She makes things fun for us with her cheerful, dimpled, smiles and giggles. At her 4 month check-up she weighed 18lbs 10 1/2 oz and was 25 1/2 inches long. She was in the 90th %tiles for both measurements. She is by far the biggest baby we have ever had at this age. She is wearing size 4 diapers because of her chubby legs and tummy. She is now wearing 9-12 months clothes (thank goodness we had tons from when Malia was a baby)! She hasn't progressed a whole lot on her gross motor skills. She loves to stand while being held and sits well with support. She isn't, however, making any motions to roll over, which I guess is okay with me so I can enjoy her a little longer. She loves to grab toys now and is learning how to get them to her mouth to suck on them. We have tried a little bit of rice cereal with her, but that same day she started throwing up and has since been sick with a fever, cold symptoms and an ear infection, so she is not interested. We'll try a little later when she is feeling better. She loves watching the activities going on around her and is trying really hard to copy sounds when we talk to her. We just love her to pieces!
