Birthday Fun!!

We celebrated Makai's birthday a day early due to some scheduling conflicts with church meetings and soccer games on his actual birthday. We started the celebration off with a trip to the dentist. It was Makai's first time and he wasn't too thrilled about it until he got his prize at the end. After visiting the dentist we took the kids out to Applebee's for their kids' night. This is always a great deal because kid's meals are only $.99 and they also have fun activites for the kids to do. We happened upon some pumpkin decorating and the kids had fun decorating their mini pumpkins while they waited for their food. After dinner we came home and had cake and opened presents. Makai is really big into cars, especially Disney cars and Lightning McQueen. If you ask him what Lightning says he will tell you "Ca-chow!" It's very cute and funny. So to indulge him with his obsession we had a Lightning McQueen cake made for him and got him some cars related toys like a Tonka dump truck, which he drives all over the house, and a race track. He also got a new Cars t-shirt that he had to put on right away! Here are the pictures we captured of his special day!
